New Teachers Compound Project for the new CRMPS School is Kicked Off.

Quality teachers are a key to a producing a great educational environment and are a priority for our new Child Redeemed Mission Primary School (CRMPS)! Recruiting good Degreed teachers to a rural place like Bwase, Uganda requires a quality vision, competitive salary, and pleasant housing. It is traditional to provide housing for teachers as they will almost certainly be from a far place like the big cities. We have launched a construction project to make a pleasant Teachers Compound and open it by the 3rd term of this year (September). There currently are 4 teachers at CRMPS and there will be 6 in 2026 and as many as 10 by 2029.

Almost 1/2 acre of land adjacent to the CRMPS compound was purchased and building construction started on 10 furnished Apartment rooms, Latrine/Bath house, Fellowship Shelter, Gardens, and solar power lighting. It will indeed be a pleasant place and a commitment to succeeding as a quality school.

91 Kids are learning for the very first time in Bwase, Uganda!

The Child Redeemed Mission Primary School (CRMPS) is in the middle of its very first term with 91 eager first time learners.

MSM envisioned and established this school in partnership with the Bwase community to provide a Nursery and early Primary school for kids in the community. Existing schools are too far for young ones to walk. Of the 91 kids, 11 are orphans and vulnerable kids from the Child Redeemed Mission Home and 34 are children from poverty that have been selected by the Community Elders to receive partial or full assistance to attend CRMPS. This Community Assistance Program (CAP) is to be funded by those led to sponsor education to the very poor and not leave any behind. The parents of CAP kids sign contracts to prepare their kids to receive an education and perform well.

The school is non profit, Christian based, fees are very modest (about $20 per term), is staffed by professional teachers, and provides breakfast and lunch for the students.

Launching Phase I of CRMPS was very successful and encouraging. We are planning to begin executing Phase II this month with the construction of a Teachers Compound, 2nd Classroom Block Building allowing the addition of Grade 2, and a Playground.

A Needed New School Opens in Uganda

Just a dream a year ago, kids that would not be learning, ARE! After years of discussions, praying, and then building and equipping, the Child Redeemed Mission (CRMPS) Primary School opened early this month. The vision was to have an early education school in the community of Bwase, near the Child Redeemed Mission Home (CRM) so that the youngest children in the community can go to a quality walkable distance school. This includes the 7 new children that were recently welcomed into CRM. The established Primary Schools are too far away and many young kids simply do not start school until they are big enough to walk far enough.

Phase I of CRMPS involved the construction of a 5 room Class building, a latrine, furniture, and a security fence on a portion of property purchased and added to the CRM property.

During the last mission trip in January, desks, tables, and benches were made….

200 pounds of teaching tools, books, and school supplies were brought with us from the US, donated by teacher friends and Hickory Grove Baptist School.

It was a huge effort requiring many people, prominently Emma, Director of CRM, Jeninah, Headteacher of CRMPS, and many others to hold community meeting, construct the facilities, work through the government approval process, hire a great staff, register and test incoming kids, build furniture, and assemble supplies. Kids in the rural community of Bwase, Uganda now get to learn during the early important childhood years and start a process to having a better future. Praise God!

We sure enjoyed doing this blessed and rewarding project and thank everyone for their support, encouragement, and prayers!! It was 100% donor funded to construct and open. The goal is for 100% operational costs supported by the modest fees. The objective is a quality education in a Christian environment with two meals, backed up by an involved Parent Teacher Organization.

Hang on…Phase II and Phase III are coming for the school to grow to Grade 4 over the next 3 years and educating nearly 250 children.

Pastor Training, Teaching, and Fixing in Kenya, Trip 45

Tony, Eldon, and Ray are home now after completing a 10 day trip to Kenya including Nairobi and the Lord’s Servants Home (LSH) that is supported by Mission Servants Ministry (MSM) since 2007. Those three guys are a team with Christ-like hearts for teaching, serving, and loving others. Among other goals, they partnered with Pastors Henry and Moses, Kenyan Missionaries from Nairobi for a week of local Pastor training and teaching at LSH.

20 area Pastors were trained as a follow-up program to a week long session last year.

Ray spent the week teaching a bible course at the Compel High School in nearby Webuye.

Tony met with the older children from LSH that have completed High School and are planning a future either with further education or training, or business starting. We stay in touch and advise and help where we can. Kenya is a bleak place economically for young adults. A news source reports that 3.9 million Kenyans under 35 years old with college degrees are out of work or underemployed. Depending who you ask, the general unemployment of trained people is over 1/3. Tragic. We hope to focus the kids towards job creation and careers in demand.

Eldon taught a daily Adult Discipleship Class. Always a favorite of the Church Members.

Last year there was considerable effort to train local ladies in sewing. A room with good sewing machines was set up and several ladies trained. Tony found a thriving sewing group that calls itself the LSH sewing club. Plans were discussed to expand this initiative to a larger place to allow more to participate.

One area needing repair attention was the playground of the school. New parts were brought from the US and work organized to fix the playground. This was a popular effort!

A second main area of repair need was the battery backup system for the power for lights. Grid power has outages several times a week. The storage batteries that supplies power during outages were well beyond their lifespan. New batteries and other electrical system repairs were made.

Several Community Water Supply Projects that have been supported by MSM were visited. 11 new projects were completed since the visit last year providing safe clean water for over 2000 families. The latest one is on the left. This initiative continues in 2025.

Thank you all for your prayers and support of the hands on efforts of MSM to improve the futures of the LSH kids, the health of the community, and spreading the Gospel in the Bwase region of Kenya. Praise God for that work since 2007.

Mission Accomplished – Trip 44 Uganda

The 6 of us returned home earlier this week after accomplishing our goals. The Child Redeemed Mission Primary School (CRMPS) has furniture and start up supplies, the electrical system was upgraded at Child Redeemed Mission Home (CRM), a solar power system and new playground was installed at Rock View Primary School (RVPS), a 3 Day discipleship class was held, and many smaller repairs and projects were completed.

We welcomed 7 new kids to CRM and brought a few hundred pounds of kids clothes and soccer gear.


All the kids are ready to start schools on Monday and CRMPS is ready to open February 3rd. I’ll share more about this in an upcoming post.


I wish everyone could visit CRM and the other MSM ministry efforts. They are special…warm loving blessings. Those of us that are sent by the rest of us are the fortunate ones. Thank you all for your prayers and support to make this work what it is. And…Thank God!!!
