New Dorm Buildings – Promise Primary School

This project is to build two new dorm buildings, each with two 25′ x 25′ dorm rooms, a tiled wash room, full length covered veranda, and a Matron’s room. One building will house up to 75 boys and one building for 75 girls. Included in this project are sanitary soak pits to deal with wash water at each building as well as adding soak pit to the existing 3 Latrines. This project will allow PPS to increase the number of boarding children from the current 55 to up to 150 and in doing so, free up two classrooms currently used for boarding dorms. The growth and popularity of the school has made increase dorm space and added classrooms a critical need. Security is improved by having in-dorm Matrons full time, inside bathing facilities, and locations near the Latrines. Further, removing dorms from classroom blocks is required to achieve government testing certification, a needed status for promoting kids to High Schools. Our goal is to complete this before June, 2023.

Full project estimated cost is $48,000. Funding is complete.
