Expanding (Quickly) a Community School. Phase II of Child Redeemed Mission Primary School.

In January, 2025 Phase I of CRMPS School was opened including Pre-K through Grade 1. This school is to serve the smallest children in the community around the Child Redeemed Mission home and 91 kids are attending, most of which likely would not attend school otherwise due to the challenging distance to walk to the closest school. Our plan in Phase II was to add a grade each year until Grade 5, a 4 year plan. It WAS the plan….

Excitingly, MSM has decided to accelerate plans and add 4 classes in January of 2026 and complete the school up to Grade 5. The team that just returned from Uganda, finalized plans and broke ground on the 2nd new 5 room class building and completed the 10 room Teachers Housing Compound. The class building will be completed in January. Desks, tables, and shelves are to be built by then and teachers hired.

We anticipate initially adding over 100 additional students in January for the 2026 school year from the community. CRMPS will provide a level of quality not seen in neighboring government schools by enjoying smaller classrooms, hot lunches, great facilities, pass by merit standards, and degreed teachers.

The reasons that we prayerfully chose to accelerate the schedule were to A. Accelerate the full range of quality school classes to the community, B. Offer a more intimate education to the CRM children, many of whom come to the home behind academically, C. Reduce the cost of sending CRM kids to other primary schools. D. Make it easier to take in new vulnerable children from the government.

It is a real dream come true to build a school and see so many kids getting a solid start in life. The cost for the 5 room class building and furniture is roughly $50,000….unbelievably little. Praise God that we were provided the means to do that. Operating costs are initially at a deficit to the affordable school fees that are asked of the parents. Please prayerfully consider helping MSM supplement funds so that CRMPS can operate serving low income families until the numbers of enrolled increase.

How did they get by before? New Kitchen. Trip 42 Update 4

Serving breakfast and lunch to 400 plus kids and staff from a kitchen with a collapsed roof and wall with a big pot sitting on 3 rocks over a fire…..

Rock View Primary School (RVPS) is located in a rural village called Kasolwe, Uganda. Mission Servants Ministry has assisted RVPS with needed facilities and improvements for 5 yyears now since they are the main source of education for kids in that area. The last project, completed earlier this year, was the fence, Guard house and front gate. During this trip, meetings and discussions on final design and location allowed for ground to be broken on a new kitchen.

Somehow RVPS managed to feed over 400 kids and staff with this as their kitchen. Porridge for breakfast and a hot lunch is a main part of the diet for these school kids.

We modeled the new kitchen on the structure MSM built at another school, Promise Primary School (PPS). Improvements in number of wood fired cookers, storage, ventilation, and lightings were built in with the benefit of the experience at PPS. This project will be complete by December and ready for the next school year beginning in January. As with all MSM projects, 100% of materials, labor, and contracting are local and benefitting the community economy.

Thank you for your prayers and support of Mission Servants Ministry and our mission to help local national Christian organizations that serve God and Children to solve roadblock problems so they can do more in their communities. To God be the praise, glory, and honor.
