What becomes of MSM sponsored Orphanage kids after becoming an adult?

This is one story……Reuben, aged 22, now a Pig Farmer was one of the original kids at the start of the Lord’s Servants Home, Kitale, Kenya in 2005. I met him shortly after that and MSM has had the privilege of supporting him ever since, through completion of High School, and into adulthood. Reuben has always been interested in agriculture and inherited 3 acres of farm land after his Grandfather and Uncle passed away and has been struggling to support his Grandmother and own health issues. MSM has helped him use his 3 acres to establish safe cash crops and a new pig raising operation. After mentoring in 2021, Reuben is ready to run a business that will support himself and his Grandmother.

MSM funded the building of a Piggery with 6 styies and a capacity for 40 to 50 pigs. It was opened this month and the first piglets moved in. The business involves buying or breeding piglets and raising them with good health and maximum weight till 8 months when they are sold for slaughter. Reuben needs to obtain food, water, and maintain medical quality during this process in a profitable way. He has developed relationships with other pig farmers, grain mills, and sources of food like schools and hotels. I’ve been proud of Reuben as he has researched this project, set up mentorships to learn, developed budgets and plans, managed the construction process, and worked through every problem along the way. Well done Reuben.

What happens to Mission Servants Ministry sponsored orphanage kids when they grow up? They get launched into being a productive loving adults and responsible members of their clan and community. Praise God. Thank you to all who have supported MSM. Special thanks to Noah, Director of Promise Primary School in Uganda for your advice and mentoring.
