Thanks and praise to God, we have been home from our 4 week trip long enough to get settled back. I was not able to post updates from Uganda due to only having internet in town. Some exciting things happed during our time at Stream of Hope Home which the next few updates will show. Thank you for your support and prayers, which without would have made a useless trip.

3 day crusade held on the grounds of SOH reached several hundreds of people in the community. Kathy Bailey led the preaching and call for surrender and healing. Pastor Paul led worship well into each night. Thunder and lightning did not even stop them the first night.

Dr. Ben and his mission to support the pastor training seminary to the Teso People group. We brought 15 audio devices with the Bible in Ateso language. We have supplied dozens over the past 3 years to help them successfully start Bible discussion groups and plant churches.

A simple way to love on people. Fit and give reading glasses so they can read again. I had 50 pair with me and it was exactly enough.

We dedicated the new Dining Hall / Church building and packed it for Sunday service. Kathy purchased 100 plastic chairs for the needed seating capacity. What a great building for a church!

We traveled 22 km to the Nile river after service and baptized 55 people, roughly half were SOH children. This was one of my favorite days.

John and I took the oldest boys on a leadership and prayer excursion to the top of a granite hill, the highest spot overlooking the region, that is still used in witchcraft practices today including child sacrifice, and believed inhabited by demons and local superstition. We discussed the power of the Holy Spirit in us, why we have no reason to fear, and prayed for the community. These boys will become team leaders of groups of younger boys at the Home.

We however, serve a loving Jesus Christ. We were protected, provided for, and directed all through the trip.
In the next few posts, I’ll cover the new Dining Hall building and the projects we completed.
