Welcome Deborah and Florence!!

We welcome two new children to our LSH family.  Debroah and Florence make 60 children now at the home which is our intended capacity.  Last year we expanded the home by constructing a new dorm building, separated the boys from the girls, and now have filled it with God’s children.  Praise the Lord!  These kids and several others still need sponsor families to pray for and connect with them.  Please check out them all here.

Deborah  Nasimiyu  was  was  born  on  Jan 15, 2008.  Her  father  was killed  by  robbers.  Her  mother  has  other  kids and no  stable  income, doing odd  jobs  for  survival  and living  in  a  rented  house.  Deborah  is  in  ECD   ie  Nursery Class.

Meet some kids from the SOH Orphanage…

We have loaded individual photos of many of the kids living at the Stream of Hope Home in Nawantale, Uganda on the Mission Servants website.  Click here for photo gallery.

These kids are fully supported with food, housing, medicine, clothing, and education.  This is a newly formed orphanage and has many needs to improve conditions of health and welfare.  We are praying for provisions to meet this need.  Please look to the website, these blog updates, or contact us for more information.

Groundbreaking!!! New LSA building #1

Ground was broken this week on the 1st new building for the Lord’s Servants Academy.  It is going to be a 4 room building and God willing, the first of several.  This building will house the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes and likely a teacher’s office or 4th grade in the 4th room.  The ECD (kindergarten and pre-school) class will continue to be held in the Lord’s Servants Home dining hall building.  The building will be completed in time for the 3rd semester of 2013 which starts in September.

This is very exciting because we will be providing a better education for our kids as well as providing an education for many community children who are unable to go to school.  Our goal as a mission (not for profit ) school is to provide a best in area education with a Christian basis yet allow means to help needy children attend.  This is a great way to serve and interact with the community.  I also look forward to discussing mission trip opportunities to serve the school in 2014.

Praise God!  I’ll be updating progress on this as we go….
